Handwriting is fundamental to all areas of elementary education. When we teach children to write, we also teach them to express themselves. If handwriting becomes difficult or impossible, their ability to express themselves will suffer along with other school subjects such as spelling and math.
The “Writing Without Tears” course is based upon the Handwriting without Tears curriculum, which was developed by American Occupational Therapist, Jan Olson. It is widely used in the US to help students better recognize and form letters and numbers correctly, without reversals, and without tears! Now, your child can benefit from this fun, entertaining and educationally sound method to build a strong writing foundation. The Handwriting Without Tears method teaches a simple, clean, vertical style of handwriting (cursive for American students) in a developmental teaching order. The letter groupings taught and the correct letter formation are all designed to help children learn handwriting skills in the easiest, most efficient way. Through a series of multi-sensory, developmentally appropriate, hands-on and fun workshops, your child will increase his/her handwriting skills and gain a better appreciation for handwriting.
